Still Snow April Japan
Still Snow April Japan Still Snow April Japan 5cm of fresh snow overnight for Nozawa  Itâs April and we are still seeing dustings of snow across the top of the resort. Crazy stuff when the Cherry blossoms are in full bloom in Tokyo. Mind you it is still pretty chilly there too. Looking at the web cams and the trees up top are doing the frosty frozen broccoli thing. https://nozawa-onsen.com/nozawa-webcams/ This little top up and the sub zero temps should make for some good skiing across the top of the mountain. The resort is only open down to Paradise anyway so you need to download on the Gondola. Guessing the resort is saving things for the weekend when there […]

Base back at 400cm! Base back at 400cm! Yesterday the snow just kept coming and big flakes too. I missed the update on what we got on top of Thursday nights 30cm but would have been a bit. Together with the 12cm that fell since the lifts closed yesterday and we have a huge 4 meter base with a nice layer of powder sitting waiting for the lucky ones today on the mountain. The sun was peaking out early and it is looking like a reasonably clear day ahead. There will be scattered clouds and a chance of some more light snow tonight.
