Booking Procedure
Thank you for your interest in staying with us in Nozawa Onsen. Once we receive a booking from you we will send you a booking confirmation.
Please check all the details in regards to; your dates, number of guests, room type and room rate, plus any extra services you requested. Then reply to us and let us know of any changes if need be.
Bookings are then valid once your deposit has been received. We require confirmation of your booking by payment of deposit within 72 hours of sending the booking form.
Deposit
Accommodation bookings are in Japanese Yen. However can be in other currencies if prior arrangements made. A non-refundable deposit of 20% of the Total Charge for accommodation and guest services if you have requested them are to be paid with confirmation of the booking. Some lodgings require 30% deposit and will let you know if the case. Payments can be made by direct debit into our account in either Japan or Australia or by credit card. Any bank charges to be paid by person making the booking. Note prices are subject to change if our suppliers change prices.
There is no fee for paying by credit card for card transactions processed in Australia in $AUD at the Yen equivalent based on the rate of the day at the National Australia Bank. Yen Card Transactions can be processed also and carry a 3% except for Amex Cards which are 3.2%

In Japan
There are 2 ways: You can either transfer into our Japanese account or use transfer wise. Details are on the links:
Balance Payments
Most of the lodges booked thru Nozawa Holidays, require the balance of the account to be paid in full prior to arrival. Balances are normally due 60 Days prior to your arrival.
Please email us if you would like to pay earlier and we will send you all the relevant information.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellations are no fun for anyone and affect us greatly only operating for 3 months of the year. By paying your deposit you agree to the terms of our cancellation policy.
Cancellations more than 90 days prior to the start of booking and with good reason then happy to give a credit for a stay at a later date.
Cancellations less than 90days prior to start of booking forfeit the 20% deposit already paid. If good reason and can rebook the spot happy to give a Credit for a stay at a later date.
Cancellation within 60 days prior to start of booking incurs a 50% cancellation fee of total package.
Cancellation less than 30 days prior to the start date of booking incurs a 100% cancellation fee for accommodation.
Part Cancellations are handled in the same way.
Corona Related Cancellations;
We have put in a Special Cancellation Policy to cover extenuating circumstances related to the Corona Virus. For anyone that books after 1st of March 2020, if there are still travel restrictions in place or you feel it is not the best time to travel, then can change to any date in the future or get a refund of your deposit in full up until 1 month after International Travel Bans to Japan are lifted with no loss or obligations.
For those who booked before the corona we can also offer a refund less a small admin fee to cover staff wages. Thank you for your understanding and we really hope to see you back in Nozawa soon.
We strongly advise guests to have Travel Insurance cover to protect themselves against unexpected changes to their travel plans and in the case of any injuries.
