Today and tomorrow only light snow has been forecast with the next big dumping due to hit in the new year! What a way to bring in 2018. Friday fun day! Good morning! After a fairly calm night overnight we can rest the snow dancing legs as the snow showers ease off this morning. Hopefully we’ll have some blue skies so get some photos of our beautiful village and resort with just a sprinkling of snow forecast for today and 8cm tonight. Rest won’t be for long though… steady snowfall will begin again early next week. Sure there is still plenty of powder to be found. And it just keeps coming! We’ve had a bumper two days of snow here in Nozawa Onsen. This December has well and truly been one to remember and we are definitely setup for an epic season here in Nozawa Onsen. If you made it onto the mountain yesterday you would have been swimming… in snow… When so much snow has fallen in such a short time it is a timely reminder to ride safe and don’t go out there alone. The current storm cell should be easing tomorrow with another cell brewing for the weekend. Nozawa Onsen Snow Report 27th Dec 2017 Snow Snow Snow. Last night saw a heavy dumping of snow, there is a lot of shovelling of snow happening this morning with 65 cm, Yesterday saw good conditions all over the mountain, with a lot of fresh powder up top. The sun did peak through the clouds in the middle of the day for a little bit until the snow returned. Today should see another 30cm falling, with more falling in the next 2 days.
