Tamanegi means Onion! Strange name for a house maybe but when it was renovated the owners Kyoko and Gab had a row of onions hanging out the front so the name stuck.
The house was originally a Sake Shop up to about 20 years ago and was then just used as a storage shed for many years by Kariwa san the local trophy maker.
Gab and Kyoko along with a team of local tradesmen got in and did a full renovation on the property a few years ago and it underwent a full transformation from storage shed to now one of the best insulated buildings in the whole village. Using a combination of Japanese Carpentary and Swiss know how they put a lot of time and effort into making a now beautiful little ski house in Nozawa.
It is a great set up for a couple of families or a group of friends with two x 2 bedrooms apartments one above the other in a duplex like set up so can be together in the same building but also have your own space.

Just near Villa Nozawa and only 200m to the Slopes
A flat easy stroll to the centre of the Village about 700m
Swiss Bakery over the road and Onsen just a few doors down
Some great little bars and restaurants just nearby too

90,000 Yen a night for the whole house being two self contained two bedroom apartments.
45,000 Yen for one apartment but in peak they prefer to rent both together

Fantastic house and location with amazing views across the valley and close to the lifts and town. Very cosy and inviting and available for some great dates this season.
